I James Hamilton of the County of Carroll and State of Tennessee considering the uncertainty of this imortal Life and being of Sound mind and memory Blesed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (viz) First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Jane Hamilton all the money that I may be possessed of at the time of my decease by notes or otherwise also first choice of the horse beasts that I may own. Also one cow and calf to be chosen by herself also two Sheep to be chosen. In the same manner and as many hoggs as She may think proper To Keep together with the household and Kitchen Furniture the bedd and their furniture to be entirely at her disposal the balance of the plunder above bequeathed after Supporting her at her decease to To be Sold to the best advantage and the moneys arising therefrom To be equally divided among my children and the children of Jacob and Betsy Mc Kee, deceased giving to the last mentioned Children one Share is to be equally divided among Them. I also give and bequeath to my Son John the horse that he now has in possession which he recd. from John Madon, Esqr. in part pay of my land which be sold to said Madan, together with all the Profits arising from the Said of Said land - To my Grandson Thos. Hamilton now living with me I give and bequeath one Sorrel Colt and my Rifle gun and ax, also give and bequeath to my wife Such of my farming tools as She may stand In need of also a Saddle and bridle my waggon and gear and all other plunder not before mentioned it is my wish that it be Sold to the best advantage and the profits of Said Sale be equally divided among my children giving to the children of my deceased Daughter Betsy Mc Kee one Share which Share is to be equally divided among them. I hereby appoing James Latimere and Thos. Hamilton executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other will by me made, in witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this 27th day of February 1826 Signed sealed and delivered in presence of us Robert Wilson Jur Thos. Latimere Jur James Hamilton his mark State of Tennessee ) Carroll County Court ) September Term 1831 The last will and testament of James Hamilton deceased was this day produced in open court and proved by Robert Wilson one of the Subscribing witnesses thereto and at December Term 1831 it was proven by Thos. Latimer the other subscribing witness thereto to be the act and deed of the said James Hamilton Deceased and ordered to be recorded. A Copy Test Edwd Gwin Clerk Recorded 9th day of February 1832.
