William Rogers Will

In the name of God Amen I William Rogers of the State of Tennessee and County
of Carroll, being weak in body of sound and perfect mind and memory
considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of Sound &c. Blessed
be Almighty God for the same do make and Publish this my last will and
testament in manner and form following (Vis) first I give and bequeath to my
beloved wife Nancy Rogers all that I possess during her natural life or
widowhood to dispose of in any manner that she may think proper. Second I will
and bequeath unto my Son Joshua G. Rogers Eighty acres of land lying on Big
Sandy River in the 6th range and 4 Section including my improvement whare I
now live &c and one horse and Saddle.

Third I will and bequeath unto my Daughter Nancy Roger one good feather bead
and furnetue one Cow and calf. Forth I will and bequeath unto my Daughter
Purity Rogers one good feather bead and ferneture one cow and calf. At the
expiration of her life or widowhood then all to be sold and equally devided
among my children Namely Basel Rogers Ezekul Rogers Celia Rogers James Rogers
Frederick Rogers Rily Rogers Alesey Rogers Minty Rogers Nancy Rogers Purity
Rogers and Joshua G. Rogers.

I appoint my beloved son Basel Rogers Executor to this my last will and
testament, In witness whare of I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 28th
day of November in the year of one thousand Eight Hundred and thirty four.

Signed seald Published and delived by the named William Rogers to be his last
will and testament in presents of us who have here unto set our names as
witnesses in the presents of the testator.

This day the last will and testament of William Rogers, Decd. was pruduced in
open court and the Execution thereof was duly proven by the oath of William
Green and the handwriting of William Presson and proven by the oathes of
Joshua Mabuary and Aaron Green to be his handwriting and ordered to be
recorded.
