Zephaniah L Roberts' Will

In the name of God Amen

I Zephaniah L. Roberts being in my sound and right senses calling to mind my
mortality and being desirous to direct in what way my (p. 387) earthly
substance shall be disposed of after my death do will that all my Just debts
if any there be shall be paid, my body be decently buried in a christian like
manner.

Secondly. I will and bequest to my sister Patsy Ann Roberts one cow and calf
and one bed and furniture and saddle.

Thirdly I will and bequest that all the balance of my property Except my lands
and the Special bequest above made and paying my debts be property of my wife
Delila to dispose of as she may think proper and that she (my wife) have the
use of all my land during her natural life and at her death the lands be sold
and equally divided among all my mothers children.

In testimony where of and in hopes that this my last will and testament will
be faithfully Executed I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this 30th day
of June 1851

(p.388) I Z. L. Roberts have this day agreed to give and donate one hundred
Dollars more than any rest of my brother and Sisters I give bequeath to my
Sister Sally Robers for care and attention paid to my when I was unable to
attend to myself in the year 1860 Testimony thereof I set my hand and seal
this day March 12th 1861
