C. Hoss and Josephus Hopwood, college president, regarding building for Milligan College, Carter County, TN The building committee agree to furnish cash, produce or labor to the amount of the actual expenses of the labor and board expended on the work provided it does not exceed four hundred dollars. The same sum to be furnished by Sept. 1st, 1881 in monthly installments. The balance above actual expenses which will or may be due said Hoss. He agrees to make as a first payment on a certain house and lot known as the Giles lot which is now the property of J. Hopwood. The price to be paid for said house and lot to be three hundred and twenty five dollars possession to be given April 25th 1881. T. C. Hoss agrees to have the work completed by July 4th, 1881. T. C. Hoss J. Hopwood The count of the bricks to be made in the wall with one half the space of doors and windows deducted. Said Hoss is to furnish bond and security that the brick work will be completed by July 24th 1881 and the palstering done by August 1st 1881.
