Hyder, Wiley McKuchen, Samuel J. Williams, Samuel Miller, P. P. Williams, C. C. Taylor, Jr., and Nathaniel S. W. Williams, the Trustees of the Buffalo Male and Female Institute and their successors for ever a certain piece or parcel of land containing one acre situated in the fifth civil district iin Carter Count, Tennessee and known and described as follows, to wit, one acre of land laying on Buffalo Creek including the new brick academy beginning on a planted stake running south seventeen degrees, east, sixteen poles to a stake planted, thence south seventy three degrees, west two poles to a small hickory sapling thence north seventeen degrees, west sixteen poles to a planted stone thence north seventy three degrees, East two poles to the beginning containing one acre be the same more or less together with all the appurtuances estate title and interest I have in and to said land. And I covenant with the said Samuel W. Hyder, Wiley McKuchen, Samuel J. Williams, Samuel Miller, P. P. Williams, C. C. Taylor, Jr, S. W. Williams and their successors to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to them and their successors against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. Young State of Tennessee, Carter County Personally appeared before me James L. Bradley Clerk of the County Court of said county. Joshua Williams the bargainor or maker of the within deed with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he made and expected the same for the purpose therein contained. Witness my hand at office this 12 day of July 1869. James L.
