This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Erma Day ej3ed@skyenet.net ==================================================================== N C Land Grant # 1188 Richard Kite 150 Acres, 1795 Washington Co., TN Bk 7 p 234, 235 [This area is now in Carter Co., TN] State of North Carolina No. 1188 To all to whom these presents shall Come Greetings Know ye that we for and in Consideration of the sum of fifty shillings for Every hundred acres hereby Granted paid in to our Treasury by Richard Kite have given and Granted and by these presents do Give and Grant unto the said Richard Kite a tract of Land Containing one hundred and fifty acres Lying and being in our County of Washington on the watry fork of Gap Creek Beginning at a small white oak on Wm Sharps Line Running East one hundred Eighty Eight poles to a stake and Black oak pointers thence South one hundred and forty poles to a Chesnut thence South fifty five Degrees West one hundred poles to a Small Beech thence North Twenty Seven Degrees West two hundred and forty poles to the Beginning as by the plat hereunto annexed Doth appear together with all Woods Waters mines minerals hereditaments and appurtenances to the sd.
