Keyes Apr 12, 2005 Source: LDS FHL film #847622 This Indenture made and entered into this fourteenth day of November one thousand Eight hundred and Twenty Between Benjamin Webb of the one part and John Webb of the other part both of the County of Sullivan and State of Tennessee witnesseth that the said Benjamin Webb for a valuable Consid eration to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he Doth hereby acknowledge hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said John Webb one tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the County of Carter, on a Branch of Dry Creek Containing fifty acres and Bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a stake on the side of a hill thence south fifty four East forty three poles to a Black oak thence said course south fifty four East Twenty poles to a Chesnut near a Branch thence south fifteen west thirty six poles to a white oak thence south thirty seven west sixty eight poles to a Spanish oak and double maple thence north Forty? Eight west ninety poles to two large pines thence north forty five East ninety three poles to the Begining. Also the half of two other tracts or parcels of Land in the County aforesaid the first lying on the waters of Dry Creek Containing one hundred acres more or less and Bounded as follows to wit. Begining at a Beach and maple Corner Trees to Nathan Lewises thence with said Lewes line south thirty two Degrees East one hundred and forty poles to a Chesnut tree on a Ridge thence East one hundred poles to a Stake thence north one hundred and nineteen poles to a Stake thence west one hundred and seventy four poles to the beg ing. The other Lying on the waters of Gap Creek in the County aforesaid Containing two hundred acres more or Less and Bounded as follows to wit Begining at a Leaning Chesnut oak on the bank of a branch of Gap Creek thence west two hundred and fifty poles to two pine saplins on the side of the Iron mountain thence south one hundred and Twenty eight poles to a Dogwood saplin in a steep hollow thence East two hundred and fifty poles to a stake thence north one hundred and twenty eight poles to the begining to have and to hold the aforesaid Tracts or parcels of Land together with all woods water hereditaments and appurtenances unto the same belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said John Webb and his heirs forever and I do for myself my heirs ?? assigns forever warrant and defend the above bounded Lands unto the said John Webb his heirs and assigns against all persons whatever__ In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and date first above written signed & seald and delivered in presents of Benjamin Webb (seal) George Greenway Jaob Widepper State of Tennessee { November Session one thousand Carter County } Eight hundred and Twenty the with in Deed was proven in open Court by George Greenway and Jacob Widepper ????
