GEORGE HAYNES



   George Haynes applied for pension in 1818 while he was living in Carter

County, Tennessee. He was born in Winchester, Virginia and served in the

Virginia line. He was in the battle of Guilford Court House.



   Note: He married Margaret McInturff. Among their twelve children, (nine sons

and three daughters) were: David, who married Rhoda Taylor; John, James, George,

Jr., Joseph, Jonathan, William Christopher and Aaron.
