Adams Novella P. Adams, 75, 1700 West Elk Avenue, Elizabethton, died Friday, May 18, 2001, at her residence following a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late William and Artie Harmon Potter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard V. Adams. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Adams was a retired employee of the Southern Restaurant. Survivors include one daughter, Glenda Adams, Johnson City; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Danny Adams, Fayetteville, N.C.; and Pete and Martha Adams, Johnson City; several brothers and sisters; six grandchildren, Jason Adams and Derek Adams, both of Fayetteville, N.C.; Brian Adams, Caroline Adams and Katie Adams, all of Johnson City; and Laura Elizabeth Adams, Elizabethton. Adams, 75, 1700 West Elk Avenue, Elizabethton, who died Friday, May 18, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2001, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, with the Rev. Dean Presnell officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2001, at Happy Valley Memorial Park, Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone will meet at 9:15 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2001, to go in procession to the cemetery for the graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2001, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations in memory of Mrs. Adams to the American Lung Association of Tennessee, One Vantage Way, Suite C-250, Nashville, TN 37228.
