Mrs. Angel was a native and lifelong resident of Carter County and a daughter of the late Noah and Delphia McElyea Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Angel, in 1999, and two aunts, Mae Turner and Marie Angel. Mrs. Angel was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Glenda and Jeff Treadway and Carol and Tim Street, all of Elizabethton, and Kathy and Jeff Miller, Greensboro, N.C.; three sisters, Dorothy DePew, Anna Mae Laws and Sherry Perrigan, all of Elizabethton; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Sarah and Eden Treadway and Chad and Emily Street, all of Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Dr. Robert Allen, Johnson City. These services entrusted to Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home. www.Funeral-Plans. com/Hathaway-Percy ANGEL -- Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Angel, 71, 1206 Hillside Drive, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, May 5, 2001, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 7, at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, with Mr. Ernie DePew Jr., minister, and the Rev. Steve Witt officiating. Music will be by Jerry Barnett, soloist, and David Arney, pianist. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Miller, Jeff Treadway, Tim Street, Brian Perrigan, Roy Laws and David Angel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. Friends may also call at the residence at any time.
