Arnett NEWBERRY, S.C. -- Mary Hope Smith Arnett, 75, of White Oak Manor, Newberry, died Tuesday, November 28, 2000. Mrs. Arnett was a native of Watauga, Tenn., and a daughter of the late Charles Faye and Lillie Mae Mottern Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Arnett, a sister, Trula Helton, and a brother, Mottern Charles Smith. Mrs. Arnett was a retired employee of Bemberg Industries and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Elizabethton, Tenn. Survivors include a daughter, Edna Hope Nesbitt, Woodbridge, Va.; a son, L. Tommy Arnett, Newberry; three sisters, Dorothy Fureman, Johnson City, Tenn., Katherine Counts, Richmond, Va., and Betty Isaacs, Watauga, Tenn.; and a grandson, John Robert Nesbitt, St. Petersburg, Fla. Interment services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, December 1, at Happy Valley Cemetery in Elizabethton, Tenn. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
