Obituary appeared in the Sunday, August 20, 1961 Elizabethton Star 

Neva Tenn. Miss Bonnie Beatrice Arney, 54, of Neva died at her home Sunday
morning after a lingering illness.  Miss Arney was a native of Johnson County
and a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church.  Survivors are her mother, Mrs.
Mary F. Arney, Neva; two brothers, Jack Arney, Neva, and Adam Arney, Mountain
City; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Putnam, Neva, and Mrs. Virginia Wright of
West Chester, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Lewis Gentry Funeral
Home of Mountain City is in charge of arrangements.  Funeral services for Miss
Bonnie Beatrice Arney of Neva, Tennessee will be conducted from the Pine Grove
Baptist Church Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.  Rev. Mac Hodge and Rev. Charles Tester
will officiate.  Pallbearers will be:  Ralph Wilson, Gary Arney, A.G. Putnam,
Johnny Putnam, Paul Murray, David Putnam. (The rest of the funeral notice was
