CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Tulva Jenkins Arnold, 15 Oct 2002 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Tulva J. Arnold Tulva Jenkins Arnold, 78, 108 Terrace Street, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, October 15, 2002, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Arnold was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Rhudy and Rose Wilson Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Arnold Sr.; three sons; a grandson, Terry Arnold; several brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law, John Keefer. Mrs. Arnold was a member of Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church. She was a retired cook from Carter County Memorial Hospital. Survivors include a daughter, Violet Keefer, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Harry Arnold Jr. and Betty Arnold, Elizabethton; a foster son and spouse, Terry and Sharon Oliver, Elizabethton; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Shell Guy, Marty Keefer, Penny Sorrell, Rhudy Arnold, Regina Oliver, Melanie Reid and George Arnold; six great-grandchildren, Wendy Shell, Cody Shell, Katie Sorrell, Dustin Sorrell, Shayla Keefer and Markita Arnold; a great-great-grandson, Austin Shell; three brothers, Dan Jenkins, Elizabethton, Roy Jenkins, Houston, Texas, and Raymond Jenkins, Richmond, Va.; a sister, Freddie Caperonis, of Nevada; and a special nephew, Tony Webb, Johnson City. Mark Street officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, October 18, in the Minton Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Marty Keefer, Cody Shell, Jeffrey Guy, Rhudy Arnold, Tony Webb and Scott Estep. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Oliver and Daniel Sorrell. A special thank you to Housecall Hospice and the nurses and staff of Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence at any time.
