Mrs. Asher was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Sam and Martha Grindstaff Richardson. Mrs. Asher was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Marie and J.C. Osborne and Gail Asher, all of Elizabethton; a sister, Cora Shoun, Elizabethton; and four brothers, Sam Coefer, Elizabethton, George Coefer, Madison, Ala., Howard Coefer, Trenton, N.J., and Lawrence Coefer, of Thailand. Two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Elmer Carter officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 1 p.m. Friday, December 15, in the Richardson Cemetery, Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be J.C. Osborne, Ronnie Osborne, Greg Morris, Timmy Rutherford, Junior Barnett and Landon Pritchard. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 12:55 p.m. Friday for the graveside services. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Fireside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home.
