Ball Kathryn Ingram Hill Ball, 84, of Elizabethton, died Thursday, February 1, 2007, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Dayton and Mae Largent Ingram. Mrs. Ball was a resident of Hermitage Health Center and a member of Happy Valley Baptist Church. She was retired from North American Rayon Corporation. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ball was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Ball and Montie Hill; a daughter, Shirley Jean Pearson; sisters, Joann Whitehead and Mary Livingston; and brothers, Bill, Charlie, Franklin Dee, Tennessee and Madison Ingram. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, June and Frank Oliver and Barbara Ann and James (Jim) Kimbrel of Watauga; a son-in-law, Charles Pearson Sr. of Elizabethton; nine grandchildren, Montie Lowe, Frank Oliver Jr., Vickie McKinney, Carol Bare, Charles Pearson Jr., Heath Kimbrel, Brian Kimbrel, Kraig Kimbrel and Eric Kimbrel; her great- grandchildren, Zackery Lowe, Cody Lowe, Anna Kimbrel, River Kimbrel, Jonathan McKinney, Collin Bare, Brittany Bare, Taylor Oliver, Peyton Oliver, Jacob Oliver and Gracie Pearson; a sister: Mollie Hart of Johnson City; and two brothers, Roy Ingram of Elizabethton and Thad Ingram of Hampton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Ball will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, February 3, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Stout officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 4, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, will be Frank Oliver Jr., Charles Pearson Jr., Brad McKinney, Barney Bare, Heath Kimbrel, Brian Kimbrel, Kraig Kimbrel and Eric Kimbrel. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Pearson Sr., Jim Kimbrel, Frank Oliver, George Roberson, Janie Sams, Eddie Sams, and Evans "Buster" Whitehead. The family would like to thank all the staff of Hermitage Health Center and her friends for her care the last year and all the nurses on the 2nd Floor at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday to go to the cemetery.
