Bowling Lillian B. Bowling, 76, Life Care Center of Elizabethton, formerly of 1220 Thomas Blvd., Elizabethton, died Thursday, September 15, 2005, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Bowling was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Stewart and Anna Belle Clemons Isaacs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Elmer Carroll Bowling Jr., in 1963. Mrs. Bowling was a homemaker and a member of East Side Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 58 years of marriage, Elmer Bowling, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Lynual Younce, Elizabethton; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert Dale Bowling, Jackie Ray and Theresa Bowling and Freddie Allen Bowling, all of Elizabethton; two brothers, Ralph Isaacs and Bill Isaacs, both of Elizabethton; and two sisters, Faye Younce and Toni Sams, both of Elizabethton. Eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mrs. Bowling will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, September 16, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with Dr. Dwight Hobbs and Rev. Dale Holcomb officiating. Music will be under the direction of Lynual Younce, Harry Reagan and Louie Blevins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 16, from 6 p.m. until the service hour. Friends may also call at the residence, 1220 Thomas Blvd., Elizabethton, at anytime. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 17, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Bradley Younce, Dale Bowling Jr., Dan Robbins, Brad Gilbert, Charles Garvin and Keith Lowe. Honorary pallbearers will be members of East Side Baptist Church, the Staff of Life Care Center of Elizabethton and employees of the Elizabethton Star. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.
