Anna Bowling 





     Mrs. Anna "Annie" Bowling, 87, 102 Old Siam Road, Elizabethton, died 

Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, in Johnson City Medical Center following a brief 

illness. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Laura 

Luttrell. Mrs. Bowling was a homemaker. 





    She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bowling; a brother, Gene 

Luttrell and a sister, Bertha Johnson. Survivors include three sons and a 

daughter-in-law, Bill and Linda Bowling, Jimmie Bowling and John Bowling, all 

of Elizabethton and four grandchildren, Ty Bowling, Mountain City, Todd 

Bowling, Terry Bowling and Johnny Bowling, all of Elizabethton. Twelve great-

grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews also 

survive. 





    Graveside service for Mrs. Anna "Annie" Bowling will be conducted at 3:30 

p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, in Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Shane 

Waters officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and 

friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Linda Bowling, Dr. Michael Grosserode 

and Bertha Holder. The family will receive friends at Tetrick Funeral Home 

from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday prior to the graveside service. For those who prefer, 

memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to The American Heart Association, P. 

O. Box 409410, Atlanta, GA 30384-9410 or the National Kidney Foundation of 

East Tennessee, P.O. Box 1135, Blountville, TN 37617. Condolences may be sent
