Bageant Mrs. Sylvia Grace Stout Bageant, 87, 265 Old Milligan Highway, Johnson City, died Sunday, May 26, 2002, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Bageant was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Chester A. and Evelyn Milam Stout. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Bageant, in October 1996, a daughter, Betty Robinson, in December 2002, and by three sisters. Mrs. Bageant was a born again Christian and a member of Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter and two sons-in-law, Evelyn and Howard Perry and Junior Reaves Robinson, all of Johnson City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chester A. and Bessie L. Bageant and Jerry L. and Josie M. Bageant, all of Johnson City; a sister, Mary Sparks, Johnson City; and four grandchildren, Dr. Tim Perry, Kingsport, Loretta Shute, Daytona Beach, Fla., Kathy Colombo, Reno, Nev., and Elizabeth Baunautie, Sacramento, Calif. Seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. These services entrusted to Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home. www.Funeral-Plans.com/Hathaway-Percy BAGEANT -- Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia Grace Stout Bageant, 87, 265 Old Milligan Highway, Johnson City, who died Sunday, May 26, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at Zion Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Perry and the Rev. C.W. Snodgrass officiating. Music will be by the Zion Baptist Church Choir and Sonny Gouge, soloist. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be the Deacons of Zion Baptist Church and Adam Reeser. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Bishop, Garland Winfield, Todd Leach, Chad Lane and Roger Snodgrass Jr. The family will receive friends at Zion Baptist Church from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service. Friends may call at the residence of her daughter, Evelyn Perry, 104 Ben Wood Road, Johnson City, at any time. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday for the graveside service.
