Bailey Robert Chole Bailey, 80, 812 Dennis Cove Road, Hampton, died Tuesday, August 28, 2001, at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. Mr. Bailey was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Flaude T. and Bessie Bailey. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Donna Campbell Bailey, and by eight brothers and sisters. Mr. Bailey was a retired electrician and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Willis, Teresa D. Norris and Roma Estep, all of Hampton, and a son, Bill Campbell, of Michigan. Ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. BAILEY -- Funeral services for Robert Chole Bailey, 80, 812 Dennis Cove Road, Hampton, who died Tuesday, August 28, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, August 31, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. L.C. Tester officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 1, in the Bailey Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Saturday, will be Jerry Estep, Tim Willis, Bryan Estep, Bryan Norris and Wayne Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be the Nursing Staff of MICU at the VA Medical Center, the Skilled Hall Staff of Life Care Center, Farrell Leach, Tony Emmert, Arlie Webb and members of IBEW Local 934. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
