Mr. Barlow was a naive of Watauga County, N.C., and the son of the late Charlie and Lillie Stamey Barlow. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony Dunn, a sister, Elva Vance, and a brother, Roy Barlow. Mr. Barlow was a farmer and logger and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Vallie Barlow, of the home; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Roy and Susie Barlow, Deep Gap, N.C., Glenn Barlow, Ben and Hester Barlow and Jack and Pat Barlow, all of Roan Mountain; a daughter, Wilma Dunn, Roan Mountain; a sister, Hazel Haney of North Carolina; a half-brother, Gilbert Dillinger of North Carolina; and a half-sister. Six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Tetrick Funeral Home, Rhododendron Chapel, Roan Mountain, is in charge of arrangements. www.Funeral-Plans.com/Tetrick BARLOW -- Funeral services for Grady Barlow, 84, 248 Big Cove Creek Road, Roan Mountain, who died Monday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cove Creek Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dan Blevins officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Cove Creek Presbyterian Church Choir. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Barlow Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Lester Henson, J.T. Hughes, Jody Henson, Sherman Johnson, Dewey Garland, Jerry Garland and Paul Cates. Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Barnett and Herman Henson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cove Creek Presbyterian Church. Friends may also call at the residence, 248 Big Cove Creek Road, Roan Mountain, any time. The family, friends, minister and pallbearers will meet at the cemetery at 1:55 p.m. Thursday. To those who prefer, memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Carter County Rescue Squad, P.O.
