CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - William K. Blevins, 25 Dec 2003 ----¤¤¤---- William Korff Blevins, 75, Erwin Health Care Center, Erwin, formerly of Crowe Bottom, Elizabethton, died Thursday, December 25, 2003 at the center. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late John W. and Martha Jane Johnson Blevins. Mr. Blevins was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He was a retired supervisor for the shipping and receiving department for the Ford Motor Company, Saline, Mich. He lived in Michigan from 1966 until 1984 when he returned to Elizabethton. He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Marie Blevins, of Bethlehem, Ga. and Ginger Kay Nidiffer, of Greeneville, Tenn.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Max Korff and Anna Blevins, of Rossville, Ga. and Mark Keith and Tammy Blevins, of Hampton; two sisters, Mary Alice Ward and Louise Hammitt, both of Elizabethton; one granddaughter, Lean Paratto, and one grandson, Michael Nidiffer. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2003 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Haskel Ingram officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2003 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special "thank you" to the staff and employees of the Erwin Health Care Center. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a son and daughter-in-law, Mark Keith and Tammy Blevins, 104 Michael Drive, Hampton.
