CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Emma Lou Estep Blevins, 12 May 2004 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Emma Lou Estep Blevins, 81, Josiah Trail Rd., Elizabethton, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Rose and Bonnie Garland Estep. She attended Holly Springs Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burley Blevins, in 1994; a daughter, Burtha Ann Blevins, and two sisters, Ivory Kiser and Cory Estep. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Taylor, Gloria Winters and Brenda Sue Williams, all of Elizabethton; four grandsons, Ricky Potter, Michael Winters, Claudane Richardson and Johnny Scott Williams; two grand-daughters, Angela Hill and Michelle Reed; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ernest Garland and grandson Ricky Potter officiating. Music will be provided by Neil Hartley. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 16, 2004 at Garland Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, will be Sam Maney, Bobby Potter, John Rainbolt, Jody Blevins, Gary Morell, William Richardson and Mark Blevins. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Estep, Lester Estep, Ricky Potter, Claudane Richardson, Michael Winters, Justin Richardson, Johnny Scott Williams, Leon Blevins, Leroy Blevins and Howard Reed. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a daughter, Betty Taylor, 183 Bulldog Hollow Road.
