Baumgardner Juanita Dorothy Baumgardner, 78, 1300 Ledford Street, Elizabethton, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Mrs. Baumgardner was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late William Clarence and Clara Ella Slagle Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William "Woody" Baumgardner, April 7, 2000. Mrs. Baumgardner was a 1941 graduate of Elizabethton High School and a member of Slagles United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Margaret and Sherrill Honeycutt, Marion Stanley and Dorothy and Roger Stevens, all of Elizabethton; a sister, Elva Hartley, Elizabethton; a brother, William Lon Davis, Watauga; three grandsons, Doug Stanley and his wife, Michelle, Elizabethton, Eric Baumgardner and Cody Baumgardner; a great-grandson, Jared Stanley; and a special little friend, Jennifer Keller. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. BAUMGARDNER -- Funeral services for Juanita Dorothy Baumgardner, 78, 1300 Ledford Street, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, March 16, 2002, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at Slagles United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Manis officiating. Music will be provided by Bobby McGee. Interment will be in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the church at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, will be Matt Croy, Craig Croy, Calvin Hyder, Grant Colbaugh, Kenny Kelly and Jeff Crowe. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Friends may also call at the residence of a daughter, Marion Stanley, 293 Old Watauga Road, Elizabethton.
