Benezue Mrs. Rose Oliver Benezue, 82, 710 East 2nd Street, Elizabethton, died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Benezue was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late James and Nancy Estep Oliver. She was also preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Benezue had lived in Florida for a number of years before returning to Elizabethton 10 years ago. She was retired from Webb's 5 & 10 Store in Palathia, Fla. She was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church, but attended the First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include two sisters, Emma Lee Richardson, Elizabethton, and Nora B. Wilkerson, Hillsville, Va., and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Betty Blevins. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. BENEZUE -- Graveside services for Mrs. Rose Oliver Benezue, 82, 710 East 2nd Street, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, May 10, 2001, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 14, in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery with Pastor Rick Shelton officiating. It was Mrs. Benezue's wish to be cremated. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
