Miss Bowers was a daughter of the late John Arthur and Sally C. Williams Bowers. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Miss Bowers retired from Sycamore Shoals Hospital in the Housekeeping Department. She was a member of Blue Springs Christian Church. Survivors include two sisters, Hildred Bowers, Elizabethton, and Ceola Bowers, of the home, and two brothers, Grover Bowers, of the home, and Luther Bowers, Abingdon, Va. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, (423) 543-4917, is in charge of arrangements. www.Funeral-Plans.com/Tetrick BOWERS -- Funeral services for Miss Juanita Bowers, 73, 921 Blue Springs Road, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, February 8, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, February 10, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Mr. Richard Thomason and Mr. Mack Bennett, ministers, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mrs. Kathy Thomason. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 11, at Bowers Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Trampas Bowers, Steve Maupin, Steve Franklin, Gary Kemp and Fred Cole. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 1:55 p.m. Sunday for the graveside services.
