CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Dr. Lawrence E. Bowers

Funeral notice appeared in a January 1968 issue of the Elizabethton Star 

Funeral services for Dr. Lawrence E. Bowers will be held Thursday at 2 p.m.
from St. Thomas Episcopal Church with Rev. L.F. Kent and Rev. Walter W. Fields
officiating.  Active pallbearers: Dr. Gene Reynolds, Dr. Leslie Young, Dr.
David Slagle, Dr. Royce L. Holsey Jr., Dr. R.J. Allen, John L. Bowers Jr.,
John Mack Evans, Richard Bergman and David Tucker Jr.  The body will remain in
the Funeral Home Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 7
until 9 p.m.  Friends may call at the chapel at any time.  Burial will be in
Happy Valley Memorial Park.  Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
