Brown 1/28/00 Frank H. Brown, 91, 8155 Highway 19E, Roan Mountain, died Thursday, January 27, 2000, at Roan Highlands Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mr. Brown was a native of Carter County and a son of the late LaFayette and Callie Graybeal Brown. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Fern, Scott and Robert Brown, and a sister, Janice Stinson. Mr. Brown was a member of First Baptist Church of Roan Mountain where he served as a deacon and trustee. He was a retired mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Velma Tomlinson Brown, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, F.J. and Pam Brown, Martinsville, Va.; a brother, Gene L. Brown, Smithville, W.Va.; and two twin grandchildren, Andrew and Jason Brown, Martinsville, Va. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Brown, 91, 8155 Highway 19E, Roan Mountain, who died Thursday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Richard Stout officiating.
