Frank H. Brown

   Frank H. Brown, 91, 8155 Highway 19E, Roan Mountain, died Thursday, 
January 27, 2000, at Roan Highlands Nursing Home following an extended 
illness.
   Mr. Brown was a native of Carter County and a son of the late LaFayette 
and Callie Graybeal Brown. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, 
Fern, Scott and Robert Brown, and a sister, Janice Stinson.
   Mr. Brown was a member of First Baptist Church of Roan Mountain where he 
served as a deacon and trustee. He was a retired mail carrier with the U.S. 
Postal Service and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.
   Survivors include his wife, Velma Tomlinson Brown, of the home; a son and 
daughter-in-law, F.J. and Pam Brown, Martinsville, Va.; a brother, Gene L. 
Brown, Smithville, W.Va.; and two twin grandchildren, Andrew and Jason Brown, 
Martinsville, Va. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

   BROWN -- Graveside services for Frank H. Brown, 91, 8155 Highway 19E, 
Roan Mountain, who died Thursday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at 
Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Richard Stout officiating. Everyone 
will meet at the cemetery 1:55 p.m. Saturday for the service. For those who 
prefer, memorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to First Baptist Church 
Building Fund, P.O. Box 148, Roan Mountain, Tenn. 37687. Tetrick Funeral
