CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Samuel A. Brumit, 24 Jun 2005 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Samuel A. Brumit, Happy Valley Street, Elizabethton, died Friday, June 24, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Brumit was a native of Carter County and the son of the late Robert A. and Mayme Ryden Brumit. Mr. Brumit was a retired electrician and a member of Westside Christian Church. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Williams Brumit, of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kay and Ron Landry, Laurel, Md., and Barbara Gentry, Alcoa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Nancy Calloway, Elizabethton, and Samuel Jr. and Judy Brumit, San Marcus, Calif.; a sister, Virginia Feathers, Elizabethton; a brother-in-law, Bill Williams; and two sisters-in-law, Helen Paris and Jeri Williams. Eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive. Graveside services for Mr. Brumit will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, at the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Greg Key and Mr. James Curtis officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral chapel at 10:20 a.m. Thursday. Friends may call at the residence at anytime. The family has requested that donations be made to Faith Promise, Westside Christian Church, 1307 West G Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643 or to the Building Fund of Palomar Christian Church, 1915 N.
