Buck 4/7/00 Pat Roosevelt Buck, 99, 173 Jim Buck Road, Johnson City, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Pine Ridge Care Center following an extended illness. Mr. Buck was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Landon and Mary Jones Buck. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lena Belle Little Buck, January 15, 1987, a son, Charlie Buck, October 26, 1983, and by four brothers and a sister. Mr. Buck was a retired carpenter with Summers-Taylor Construction Company, having worked there for 29 years. He attended the Central Church of Christ. Survivors include two grandsons, Pat Buck, Lexington, Ky., and Mike Buck, Johnson City; two great-grandchildren, Joseph Buck and Lora Lee Buck, both of Johnson City; his daughter-in-law, Delores Buck, Johnson City; two sisters, Mrs. Juanita Bridgeman, Hampton, and Mrs. Ruth Spoons, Lenoir, N.C.; a brother, Vestil Buck, Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew and his wife, Gene and Mary Evelyn Buck, Elizabethton. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. BUCK -- Funeral services for Pat Roosevelt Buck, 99, 173 Jim Buck Road, Johnson City, who died Thursday, April 6, 2000, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Mark Smith, minister, officiating. Mrs. Lavelle Fair will provide the music. Interment will be at Monte Vista Burial Park, Johnson City. Pallbearers will be selected from friends attending the service. Friends may call at the funeral home. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
