Street, Elizabethton, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home following a brief illness. Mr. Buck was a lifelong resident of Carter County and a son of the late Landon and Martha Jones Buck. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mae Luther Buck, in 1990, five brothers, Foy, Milton, Joe, Dayton and Pat Buck, and two sisters, Luna Drumm and Ada Pignatello. Mr. Buck was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation with 50 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Guy C. Buck, Johnson City; two sisters, Juanita Bridgeman, Elizabethton, and Ruth Spoone, Lenoir City; and three grandchildren, Debra Bacon, Elizabethton, Vickie Buck, Gray, and Kara Buck, Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Street, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, April 15, 2000, will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday, April 16, at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, with Rev. Joe Sorah and Dr. Ray Sorrells officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 17, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Bible Class of Calvary Baptist Church. To those who desire, memorials made be made to the Kitchen Fund, Calvary Baptist Church, 225 N. Holly Lane, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence, 1735 West G. Street, Elizabethton, any time. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
