Buck Frances Louise Buck, 73, formerly of 277 Buck and Jarrett Loop, Central community, Johnson City, and Life Care Center of Elizabethton, died Monday, May 20, 2002, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Myrtle Pritchard Sneed. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Sneed, Cory Hill and Betty Phipps. Mrs. Buck was of the Baptist faith. She was retired from Bemberg and North American Rayon Corp. after 35 years of service. Survivors include her husband, Billie Joe Buck, of the home, a son and daughter-in-law, Bobbie Joe and Barbara Buck, Elizabethton, a grandson, Bobbie Joe Buck, II, Elizabethton, a brother, Theodore Sneed, Elizabethton, two sisters, Polly Collins and Marie Baird, both of Elizabethton, special friends Eugene and Mary Evelyn Buck, Elizabethton, and several nieces and nephews. Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, is in charge of arrangements. www.Funeral-Plans.com/Tetrick BUCK -- The candlelight funeral service for Frances Louise Buck, 73, formerly of 277 Buck and Jarrett Loop, Central community, Johnson City, and Life Care Center of Elizabethton, who died Monday, May 20, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2002, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bobby Stout officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2002, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Carl Hamrick, Eugene Buck, Merle Grindstaff, Billy Carter, June White and Tommy Crumley. The family, friends, ministers and pallbearers will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2002, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, or at the residence of the son, Bobbie Joe Buck, Elizabethton, at any time.
