CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Beulah (Mamaw) Carr Buckles, 13 Mar 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Beulah C. Buckles Mrs. Beulah (Mamaw) Carr Buckles, 79, First Street, Elizabethton, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Buckles was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Canie and Rena Shipley Carr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ted S. Buckles, June 24, 1982, and by two brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Buckles was a retired employee of Bemberg Corporation and a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Hardin, Elizabethton; a granddaughter, Cheryl Hardin, Elizabethton; seven sisters, Wanda Minton, Zula Carter, Ollie Bradley, Ann Dula, Evelyn McDuffie and Gladys Ward, all of Elizabethton, and Lucille Brooks, Bristol; a brother, J.C. Carr, Bluff City; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Susie Stansbrry; and a special little friend, Taylor Vanover. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. BUCKLES -- Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah (Mamaw) Carr Buckles, 79, First Street, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, March 13, 2003, will be conducted at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Ernie Depew, minister, officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, March 17, in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Monday, will be Ted Carter, Mike Carter, Randy Bradley, Sandy Bradley, Jerry Bradley and Tim Carr. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jonathan Bremer, Dr. Robert Taylor, Clarence Perry, Judge Lynn Brown and Jacob Mascioli. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
