Campbell Aletha Norris Campbell, 102, of Courtyard Apartments, Elizabethton, died Sunday, October 9, 2005, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton. Mrs. Campbell was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late George and Angeline White Norris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Campbell. Mrs. Campbell was a member of Elk River Baptist Church but attended Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Wilma Bunton, Elizabethton, and two granddaughters, Joyce Bunton and Denice Bunton, both of Elizabethton. Three great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Campbell will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Burrow officiating. Music will be under the direction of Trilla Little. Graveside services and interment will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, in the Norris Family Cemetery in Butler. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral chapel at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, will be Bill Jaynes, Bill Jaynes Jr., Brad Jaynes, Herman Burchett, James Poole and Todd Bowling. Honorary pallbearers will be Perry Bradford, Carlos Bradford, Billy Bradford and Dr. Jonathan Bremer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service hour. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral chapel at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
