Allen Clemons 





    Allen Clemons, 84, 1007 Pearl Street, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, 

March 5, 2007, at the V.A. Medical Center Hospital following a brief illness. 





    A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Rebecca 

Peeks Clemons. 





    Mr. Clemons was a World War II veteran, having served in the Korean War 

and serving two tours in Vietnam. He retired from the Army after 25 years of 

service, with a rank of Master Sergeant. He was also a recipient of the Purple 

Heart. 





    Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Allen Eugene and Vickie 

Clemons, and a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Daniel Blevins. Several 

grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. 





    Services will be held at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., 

Newport News, VA 23601, Phone (757) 595-4424. Friends may also call at the 

residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Daniel Blevins, 1006 Nave 

Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
