CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Anna Mae Cable, 26 Jul 2004 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Anna Mae Cable Miss Anna Mae Cable, 85, Lane Hill Rd., Elizabethton, formerly of Jim Cable Rd., Elizabethton, died Monday, July 26, 2004 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Reta Grindstaff Cable. She was a member of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Cable. Survivors include three sisters and one brother-in-law, Annis Forbes, Elizabethton; Iona Peters, Elizabethton; Marie and Sanford Peters, Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews also survive. The graveside service for Miss Cable will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at Grindstaff Cemetery with Rev. Ray Colbaugh officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, on Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m., or friends may call at the residence of a sister, Iona Peters, 271 Grindstaff Hollow Rd., Elizabethton, any time.
