CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - James Howard Cable Sr., 7 Dec 2004 ----¤¤¤---- James Howard Cable Sr., of Elizabethton, went to be with our Lord and Saviour on the 7th of December, 2004 at Northside Hospital with loved ones by his side. Mr. Cable was the son of the late James P. "Rod" and Nannie Stout Cable. Mr. Cable was a retired truck driver and served in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He was also a member of Dashiell Lodge #238 and was a 32nd degree Mason. He attended Hagan School of Ministry and was a member of the Full Gospel Church. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Gereel Cable, Hampton; two daughters, Pamelia Bowman, Clinton, Miss., and Anna Mary Cable, Fort Pierce, Fla.; two sons, James H. Cable Jr., Elizabethton, and Christopher Davenport, in the Navy in New Hampshire; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; his extended family, Eulis and Glenda Baumgarner, Tracy Baumgarner, LeAnne Hill, Jessica Hammond, Carlea and T.Boy, Carlene his beloved who stood by him until his death. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 10, in the National Cemetery at Mountain Home with Preacher Johnny Hilton officiating. Music will be provided by Barbara Trent. Military Honors will be provided by the Tennessee National Guard. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and nurses of Northside Hospital, I.C.U., friends and neighbors at Clark Mobile Park. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Living Faith Television, P.O. Box 151, Vansant, VA 24656. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 12:55 a.m. Friday.
