Caldwell Donald Bryan Caldwell, Cottonport, La., died Monday, June 4, 2001, in the VA Hospital, Alexander, La. A Roan Mountain native, he was the son of the late Bryan and Rose Caldwell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers. Mr. Caldwell was a member of Roan Mountain United Methodist Church. He was a Korean War veteran and a member of the DAV and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Caldwell, of the home; one son, Bryan Caldwell, Madisonville, Tenn.; and one daughter, Rebecca Rose Markland, Osceola, Ind. It was Mr. Caldwell's wishes to donate his body to the Tulane University for research. A memorial service will be held at Saint Mary's Catholic church in Cottonport, La.
