Campbell Mrs. Zola L. Campbell, 82, of Pine Ridge Care Center, formerly of 914 Nave Street, Elizabethton, died Sunday, February 18, 2001, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Campbell was a native and lifelong resident of Carter County and the daughter of the late Jesse J. and Annie Estes Grindstaff. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hobert E. Campbell, June 19, 1986, a sister, Effie Grindstaff, and a brother, Floyd Grindstaff. Mrs. Campbell was a member of East Side Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Bemberg Corporation. Survivors include a daughter, Wilma Jean Campbell, Elizabethton; a sister, Eva Heatherly, Roan Highlands Nursing Center, Roan Mountain; and a brother, Vester Grindstaff, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Campbell, 82, of Pine Ridge Care Center, formerly of 914 Nave Street, Elizabethton, who died Sunday, February 18, 2001, will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with the Rev. Walker Roberson and the Rev. Phil Poston officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, in the Vester Cemetery in Blevins Hollow, Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be Terry Oaks, Henry Grindstaff, Ryan Oaks, Owen Grindstaff, Jim Walker, Jimmy McKinney, Jerry Grindstaff and Lloyd Grindstaff. Honorary pallbearers will be the Nursing Staff of Pine Ridge Care Center. The family, friends, ministers and pallbearers will meet at the cemetery at 9:55 a.m. Wednesday for the graveside service. For those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Tennessee Affiliate, 4205 Hillsboro Avenue, Suite 200, Nashville, TN 37215. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of her daughter, Wilma Jean Campbell, 906 Stateline Road, Elizabethton, at any time.
