Campbell BOONE, N.C. -- M.H. "Bo" Campbell, 74, Rominger Road, Banner Elk, died Sunday, March 31, 2002. Mr. Campbell was born August 20, 1927 in Carter County, Tenn., a son of the late Maynard and Pearl Campbell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Shoemaker Campbell; a son, Quentin Campbell; a sister, Shirlene Willis; and five brothers, Charles, Hurley, Von, Lonnie and Lester Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a retired welder and a member of United Association of Pipe Fitters Union. He was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Jane Campbell, Boone, and Mitchell and Debbie Campbell, Banner Elk; five granddaughters, Lacey Campbell and Amy Campbell, both of Banner Elk, Ivy Campbell, Boone, Lora Campbell, Atlanta, Ga., and Sara Campbell Taylor and her husband, Jeremy, Nashville; a grandson, Cole Campbell, Boone; a great-granddaughter, Ashton Rose Campbell, Banner Elk; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Bullock, Elizabethton, Tenn.; and a nephew, L.D. Campbell. Several other nephews and nieces also survive. Hampton Funeral Service, 683 Blowing Rock Road, Boone, (828) 264-7100, is in charge of arrangements. CAMPBELL -- Funeral services for M.H. "Bo" Campbell, 74, Rominger Road, Banner Elk, who died Sunday, March 31, 2002, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at Liberty United Methodist Church. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 until 2 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Betty Henson and the Rev. Charles McKinney. Interment will follow at Matney Liberty Cemetery.
