CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Sherrell Campbell, 23 Oct 2002 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Sherrell Campbell Sherrell Campbell, 69, 225 Estep Hollow Road, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, October 23, 2002 at his residence. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Dayton and Bessie Grindstaff Campbell. He was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation after 37 years of service. He had served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Campbell was a member of New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church but attended Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church. He was a member of the Smokey Mountain Fox Hunter's Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Blevins Campbell, January 16, 1995; by three brothers, Huey Campbell, Fuller Campbell, and Thedford Campbell, and three sisters, Luella Berry, Maggie Buckles, and Myrtle Carden, and one grandson. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Charles Waycaster, Johnson City; six sons and five daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Patty Blevins, Donnie and Virginia Blevins, Timmy Blevins, Micky and Sherry Campbell, and Kevin and Robin Campbell, all of Elizabethton; and Ricky and Penny Campbell, of Sevierville; one brother, D.C. Campbell, Elizabethton; two sisters, Mollie Bowers and Catherine Smith, both of Elizabethton; 19 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. CAMPBELL -- Funeral services for Sherrell Campbell, 69, 225 Estep Hollow Road, Elizabethton, who died Wednesday, October 23, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2002 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Greer and Rev. Mark Birchfield officiating. Interment will be in the Crowe Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be neighbors of Estep Hollow, friends of Smokey Mountain Fox Hunter's Association, men of Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church, Dr. Jeff Farrow, Hospice staff, Clyde Lewi, Dave Stout, and John Garland. Also surviving are his special friends, Floyd and Josephine Richardson, Glen Winegar, Bobby Richardson, Ronnie and Lona Edwards, and Lela Taylor. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2002 in the funeral home. Friends may call at his residence or the residences of any of the children.
