CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Grady Campbell, 5 Nov 2002 ----¤¤¤---- Grady Campbell Grady Campbell, 80, 179 Bart Green Drive, Apt. 25, Johnson City, formerly of 2100 W. Elk Avenue, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, November 5, 2002, at Lakebridge Health Care Center following an extended illness. Mr. Campbell was a native of Carter County and the son of the late Arthur Cleveland and Beaunie Holtsclaw Campbell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Eula Brumitt Campbell, October 31, 1996, and by two sisters and three brothers. Mr. Campbell was of the Holiness Faith. He retired from the House and Grounds Department of North American Rayon Corporation after 45 years of service. He was an ordained Pentecostal Minister. Survivors include a daughter, Dianna Younce, Johnson City; his mother-in-law, Florence Brumitt, Elizabethton; a grandson, Lil' Mikie, Johnson City; several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law; a special sister-in-law, Velma Coleman, Elizabethton; and two very special nieces, Sheila Burns, Nashville, and Kathy Brumitt, Elizabethton. Elk Avenue, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, November 5, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, November 7, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev. A.G. Wagner officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mary Ruth Canady and Angie Palmer. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, November 8, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jay Younce, Johnny Younce, Robert Franklin, Keith Franklin, Mark Franklin, Jeff Largent, James Coleman, Hubert Coleman, Delaney Scalf, Scotty Scalf, Jeff Brumitt and Vince Brumitt. Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends. Those who plan to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.
