Cannon Grace Hyder Cannon, 76, 105 Dugger Street, Hampton, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 9, 2000, at her residence. Mrs. Cannon was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Will and Lockie Hyder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy F. Cannon, July 6, 2000. Mrs. Cannon was of the Baptist Faith and an employee of Palace Vending Company. Survivors include a brother, Ernest Hyder, Memphis; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ruby Hatley, Elizabethton, Jerry and Donna Heaton, Hampton, LeRoy and Pat Kyker, Telford, Margie Valentine, Kingsport, Clara Anderson, Land O' Lakes, Fla., and Douglas Hatley, Butler. HYDER -- Funeral services for Grace Hyder Cannon, 76, 105 Dugger Street, Hampton, who died Thursday, November 9, 2000, were conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 11, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with the Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating. Music was under the direction of the Rev. Ronnie Campbell. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, November 12, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Ernie Campbell, Ralph Pierce, Clifford Osborne, Sam Oliver, Jeff Fields and Charlie Hodge. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Kennametal, Inc. and Palace Vending Company. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
