"Fuzz" Carden, 80, Life Care Center of Elizabethton died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Kinch L. and Maggie Juanita Collins Carden. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. He was a retired employee from TVA after 22 years of service. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Medical Corp. Survivors include three brothers, Elmer G. Carden, Elizabethton, Warren G. Carden, Kent, Ohio, Huey D. Carden, Hampton, Va., one sister, Irene Fleenor, Elizabethton, and several nieces and nephews. "Fuzz" Carden, 80, of Life Care Center of Elizabethton, who died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, with the Rev. Ron Owens officiating. Interment will follow the service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Dan Crowe, Terry Miller, Roy Estep, Carl Estep, Hunter Estep, Gene Fleenor, Edward Carden, and Lawrence Hodge. Honorary pallbearers will be friends at Southern Cafe, Fred's Amoco, employees of TVA of Johnson City and J.D. Snyder. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, or friends may call at the residence of a sister, Irene Fleener, 1007 Fairview St., Elizabethton, any time.
