CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Cathryn Frost Carriger, 26 Apr 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Mrs. Cathryn Frost Carriger, 79, West G St., Elizabethton, died Monday, April 26, 2004 at her residence following a lengthy illness. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Dr. William G. and Elsie Tipton Frost. She graduated from East Tennessee State University with a teaching degree and was a member of First Baptist Church of Elizabethton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. "Mac" Carriger in 1989 and two sisters, Elizabeth Regas and Margaret Neas. Survivors include one son, Tom Carriger, Johnson City; two daughters and one son-in-law, Diane and Gary Miller, Jonesborough, and Marilyn Carriger, of the home, and a sister-in-law, Peggy Carriger, of Cary, North Carolina. Two nieces and two nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mrs. Cathryn Frost Carriger will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway- Percy Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Seals officiating. Burial will follow the service in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Appreciation to all caregivers with special thanks to Dr. Todd Whitaker, Robbin Gibson and April Syker.
