Cassell Grace Elizabeth Burrough Cassell, 74, 17 N. East Borough Road, Salina, Kan., and formerly of Elizabethton, died Monday, March 11, 2002, at C.L.C., Salina, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Cassell was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late H.M. and Mamie Chambers Burrough. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jeana Venters Dugger and Thelma Holland, and five brothers, Jack Burrough, Hobart (June) Burrough and three infant brothers. Mrs. Cassell was a member of First Christian Church of Salina, Kan., and was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters, Joann Mutchler, Gypsum, Kan., and Vickie Crossman, Hutchinson, Kan.; three granddaughters; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Proffitt, Elizabethton, Faye Laflamme, Las Vegas, Nev., and Susie Warren, Watauga; five brothers, John Burrough, Carl Lynn Burrough, Jim Burrough and Steve Burrough, all of Elizabethton, and Walter "Bud" Burrough, Lewisville, Tex. East Borough Road, Salina, Kan., and formerly of Elizabethton, who died Monday, March 11, 2002, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 18, at the chapel in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Dave Wolfe, minister, officiating. Active pallbearers will be Doyle Turbyfill, Nat Proffitt, Thomas Warren, Ray Don Markland, Earl Ellis, Tony Elliott, Jim Young and Herman Colbaugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrel Carter, Dayton Harrell, T.C. Colbaugh, Hensel Johnson, C.M. Newton and Jeffrey Warren. Everyone is requested to meet at the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
