Mr. Chambers was a native of Carter County and a son of the late E.L. and Hattie Whitehead Chambers. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ada Chambers, three brothers, Dave Chambers, James Chambers and Don Chambers, and two sisters, Jessie Truitt and Kate Pouge. Mr. Chambers was a retired construction worker. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Geneva Back, Stamford, Conn., and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. CHAMBERS -- Funeral services for Paul Chambers, 81, 899 Willow Springs Road, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, April 18, 2000, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bruce Hendrich officiating. Interment will follow in the Hall Cemetery, Tiger Creek. Active pallbearers will be Danny Chambers, Don Chambers, Kenneth Chambers, Richard Chambers, Bill Chambers and Jim Chambers. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
