Church Nellie M. Church, 80, 1113 Antioch Road, Johnson City, died Sunday, December 23, 2001, at her residence after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Church was born in Roan Mountain and had lived in Johnson City all of her life. She was a daughter of the late Herbert Moore and Nancy Powell Moore and was also preceded in death by her husband, Dexter F. Church, in 2001, and a brother, Robert J. Moore. Mrs. Church was a homemaker. She was a member of Skyline Heights Baptist Church and the Open Door Sunday School Class. Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Ann Church, Johnson City, and a sister, Marie Crocetta, Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Morris-Baker Funeral Home, 2001 Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, (423) 282-1521, is in charge of arrangements. CHURCH -- Funeral services for Nellie M. Church, 80, 1113 Antioch Road, Johnson City, who died Sunday, December 23, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, from the Morris-Baker South Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Kyker and Dr. Kenneth Gaskin officiating. Committal services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 27, at Monte Vista Burial Park, where friends are invited to meet the family for these services. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be members of the Open Door Sunday School Class of Skyline Heights Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
