Clark Ivan Albert Clark, 73, 895 Fairview Road, Hampton, died Monday, June 19, 2000, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Mr. Clark was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Alfred and Juanita Odom Clark. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Dugger Clark, a sister, Pauline Clark, and a brother, Rex Clark. Mr. Clark was a retired employee of East Tennessee Undergarment and a member of the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church. He had served in the United States Navy. Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Nancy Clark, Elizabethton, and Dennis and Charlotte Clark, Hampton, and seven sisters and four brothers-in-law, June Bise, Hampton, Jay and Otis Ellison and Audrey and Harold Jenkins, all of Elizabethton, Opal Shell, Roan Mountain, Eunice and Eual Garrett, Kingsport, Janice and Dale Leonard, Bristol, Va., and Katherin Bremmer, Blountville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. CLARK -- Funeral services for Ivan Albert Clark, 73, 895 Fairview Road, Hampton, who died Monday, June 19, 2000, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Cochran and Rev. Dexter Brummitt officiating. The Heavenly Echoes will provide the music. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 22, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 9:55 a.m. Thursday, will be Norman Miller, Larry Shell, John L. McKinney, G.W. Puckett, Jacky McMahan and Hayes Woodby. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Tolley, Carroll Tolley, Joshua Tolley, Cecil Hyder, the Staff of Pine Ridge Care Center and members of Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Friends may also call at the residence of a brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Charlotte Clark, 895 Fairview Road, Hampton. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 9:55 a.m. Thursday for the graveside service. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
