Clawson Rosa Mae Clawson, 85, 1666 Hillview Drive, Elizabethton, died Saturday, April 27, 2002, at Hillview Health Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Clawson was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Ed and Nellie Eastridge. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Demon Clawson, and three sons, Sammy K. Clawson, George Clawson and James Clawson. Mrs. Clawson was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include three daughters, Esther Caldwell, White Pine, Virginia Baines, Granite Falls, N.C., and Shirley Julian, Roan Mountain, and five sons, Jerry Clawson, White Pine, R.J. Clawson, Russellville, Vernon Clawson, Elizabethton, Lonnie Clawson, White Pine, and D.L. Clawson, Elizabethton. Twenty-five grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter also survive. Visit our Web site at www.Funeral-Plans.com/Tetrick CLAWSON -- Funeral services for Rosa Mae Clawson, 85, 1666 Hillview Drive, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, April 27, 2002, will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, April 29, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Paul Crowe officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Colbaugh Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home. Friends may also call at the residence of her sons, D.L. Clawson, 183 Lacy Hollow Road, Elizabethton, and Vernon Clawson, Watauga Valley Trailer Park, Elizabethton, at any time.
