CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Alma Burl Clemons Colbaugh, 2 Jan 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Alma C. Colbaugh Mrs. Alma Burl Clemons Colbaugh, 77, 1051 Old Bristol Highway, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at her residence due to an exended illness. A native of Carter County, Mrs. Colbaugh was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Crowe Clemons. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Clemons Montgomery and Gladys Clemons Spitzer and by two brothers, Haskel "Bo" Clemons and Elbert J. Clemons. Mrs. Colbaugh was a homemaker and a member of Borderview Christian Church. Survivors include her husband of 49 years 11 months and 16 days, James Fred "Freddie" Colbaugh, of the home; one daughter, Dolores Ann Colbaugh, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harry James "Jim" and Tammi B. Colbaugh, 1061 Old Bristol Highway, Elizabethton, Colbaugh and Ronnie Paul and Patricia D. Colbaugh, 320 Keenburg Road, Elizabethton; four granddaughters, Jimmi Leanne Colbaugh and Autumn Starr Colbaugh, both of Elizabethton, Amber Danyelle and husband James Earl Stevens, and Ashlee Nekoal and husband Jason Michael Pearman, all of Elizabethton; three grandsons, Samuel Joseph "Bo" Colbaugh, Chaseson Blake Colbaugh and Jamie Paul Colbaugh, all of Elizabethton; two great-granddaughters, MaKenzee Starr Cox and Hannah Nekoal Pearman, both of Elizabethton; two sisters, Virginia Clemons Colbaugh and Sarah Clemons Dial, Elizabethton; and one brother, Ray Clemons, Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. COLBAUGH -- Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Burl Clemons Colbaugh, 77, 1051 Old Bristol Highway, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Ken Caswell, minister, officiating. Graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, in the Fred Colbaugh Family Cemetery. The Four In The Faith and Scott Reynolds, organist, will provide the music. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:40 a.m. Monday, will be Joseph "Bo" Colbaugh, Chaseson Colbaugh, Jamie Colbaugh, James Stevens, Jason Pearman, Doug Colbaugh, Justin Colbaugh and Marvin Dial. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Buckles, Charlie Murray, Roy Colbaugh, Roger Bunton, Sr., Sheriff John Henson, Bill Renfro, Herb Renfro, Tudy Parlier, Jerry Carr, members of Borderview Christian Church, family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence.
